Food Services Supervisor

We are looking for a Food Services Supervisor to oversee the customer service, food preparation, food service, sanitation, safety, and overall management of the restaurant.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Prepare food ordered by customers using a variety of kitchen equipment (i.
    e.
    grills, ovens, fryers, meat slicers, food processors, etc.
    ).
  2. Monitor storage, preparation, cooking, handling and serving of all food and beverage products to ensure correct recipe, portion and specification standards; control and minimize waste.
  3. Clear and clean tables, run dishwasher and/or sanitizer, and restock utensils, plates, food, and condiments throughout shift.
  4. Ensure proper food safety and cleanliness standards are observed at all times including food temperatures, refrigerator temperatures, food storage and displace.
  5. Maintain kitchen and cooking areas; ensure kitchen equipment and food storage areas are clean, sanitary, and organized as required by the Health Department Rules and Regulations.
    Report any kitchen equipment or maintenance issue to manager.
  6. Coordinate team member selection, training, scheduling and development of direct reports and ensure all team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  7. Perform shift opening and closing duties as assigned.
  8. Assist with coordinating daily and weekly menu specials based on food availability.
  9. Complete general food preparation work as needed.
  10. Sweep and clean kitchen and patio areas as necessary.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year restaurant or kitchen management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of restaurant administration, food preparation and food safety
  • Ability to pass the Safe Food Handler Certificate Program within 60 days from hire date
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Professional appearance
  • Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
